Te Ao Hangarau was honoured to take part in this Kāi Tahu kaupapa - a reo Kāi Tahu Māori symposium for rakatahi to connect, kōrero and get a taste of what Te Ao Hangarau can offer them - did we mention they also got to wānanga with Troy Kingi too!? More than 40 rakatahi noho'd the weekend (Sep. 15-17) away at Te Puna Wānaka at Ara Institute of Technology in Christchurch on this wānanga. Check out our Facebook page for more whakaahua!
We were graced with a visit from students of the largest kura kaupapa in the country; Te Wharekura o Rākaumangamanga. The students were shown how we do things in Te Ao Hangarau and were given a preview into some projects we have on the way (Aug. 2017).
A rōpu of Ngāi Tahu rakatahi heading to Silicon Valley came through the office to get a taste of the wonders of technology that they will be exposed to on their trip.
